Recent products I am enjoying using

Im sure we all get it, using the same products day in day out, and then you notice that theres a few gems  what start to pop up more regularly than others. Well here are my items I have been reaching for more over the past couple of weeks!

So of course my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer is in there. I just can't stop using this baby! I know the blogging community adores this concealer, as do I.

Also the other day I picked up the Wake Me Up concealer for under my eyes. The only problem for this I find is that its too dark for me and is the lightest shade. Yes it does make my eyes look bright but it doesn't really give me that highlighted look. I probably wouldn't purchase again.

MAC pro longwear concealer has always been in my make up bag. This is my 3rd bottle, I had been ignoring it for a while whilst discovering the collection one. But I LOVE putting this around my chin where my scarring is BEFORE my foundation as it gives me a perfect skin look.

I used to think this eyeko eyeliner was rubbish but it is actually AMAZING. I just line my upper lash line to give my lashes a fuller look.

The They're Real Mascara has been getting a lot of use recently to give my lashes a full look to compliment my recent use of eyeshadows.

Everyone and their grandmother knows about the Colour Tattoos but as a favour a brown smokey eye I LOVE putting the On and On Bronze colour on before my eyeshadow to make the colours stronger and last longer.

This little eyeshadow palette is from Maybelline and I purchased it in Autumn after getting a sort of Autumn colours bug. Listen, the white colour in this is the best inner corner highlighter ever. Its SO PIGMENTED and my eyes always look so bright and alive. I really cannot recommend it enough.

And lastly this little pot of joy. The Max Factor Creamy Blush, so small but SO good. This gives my cheeks such a beautiful pink healthy glow which looks very natural over powder blushes.

Looking for a BIG make up bag?

This little beauty, or should I say big beauty? Is from Primark. Im pretty much certain this was £3.50 and it legit fits more or less ALL my make up in it. Every brush, every palette and compact. Every round pesty MAC compact. EVERYTHING. I totally recommend it for anyone on the look for a make up bag what fits everything in it. Its great for travelling as it fits in toiletries and brushes too!

Recent new beauty buys!

It happens every week. I waste time before I go to work looking round shops and ending up spending money I really should save!

Ooopsy!

I had my eyes on the new RT miracle complexion sponge for a while now and after seeing it in my local boots for a measly £5.99 I took the plunge and bought it! I am super excited to try it.

I also picked up another Colour Tattoo in the shade 'Permanent Taupe' I already have the shade On and On Bronze and that is shimmery and I LOVE this colour as its more or a matte shade. Perfect for a base. It is rather dark though so only a perfect base under a dark eye.

Now the Loreal Lumi Magique Primer, I stood and debated with myself whether to get this or not. I know £10.00 is not THAT expensive but for me, a drugstore primer should be a little cheaper. But I also took the plunge with this and got it and I love it so far! It adds a dewy look under your base but its better as a highlighter!

Now the foundation was supposed to be for christmas but my mum actually gave it me early! Haha, anyone elses parents do this?:P
I havent tried it yet but IM SUPER EXCITED, I've wanted this for SO long.

MUJI draws! A great idea for make up storage!

I've been seeing these acrylic draws all over the bloody place for ages now and I've been wanting to get some now for a very long time. Finally, for once, they wasn't out of stock! I speedily ordered some and sat excited for them to arrive!

So here I have two sets of the wide draws which I think are £10.95 each. The reason I got the wide ones is because they can fit in bigger items for example, foundation. So I recommend the wide ones for sure!

I know a lot of people have the 5 draw set which is £24.95 but it only fits like lipsticks and stuff in which isnt really great seeing as though the price is pretty high. But as you can see I can fit in a lot of items into each draw which is a god send.

They look clean and arrange your make up perfectly! I have face products in one draw, then eyes, lips and the top is random more expensive products I use regularly. For anyone looking for good make up storage ideas I recommend MUJI!

Benefit 'They're Real!' review

I've wanted this mascara for SO long now after trying out the small trial size one what came free with a magazine! I instantly fell in love with it but couldn't justify spending SO much on one mascara! So once I noticed they were doing this 2 for 1 package with the free small one whats £9.00 anyway I decided to take the plunge!

This mascara is good. I will give it that, but you have to be so careful with it and I find personally it clumps your lashes SO easily! I find I'm simply applying it normally and suddenly my eyelashes are all stuck together and icky :(
But the length and impact it gives me is unreal, when going back to a different mascara I can totally tell the difference. I say definitely pick up this special package to try out, this mascara is worth a try and up there in my all time favourites.

The brush is a plastic brush with a small round end to get right to them corner lashes! Personally I don't find this useful at all. Yes its expensive and if you're not wanting to try it for the high price then I recommend my holy grail mascara.. Max Factor False Lash Effect £11.00.

Everyday make up routine

Im going to try not to babble here or this will take me ages. I've added numbers to the photos instead of making this post massive with a photo for each product (sorry if its not as easy to follow!)
BEFORE ANYTHING I WASH MY FACE AND MOISTURISE

1. Use MAC Pro Longwear concealer (£15.50) to really mask all my spots. This concealer makes them look more or less invisible I love it! I put this on first so my foundation doesn't have as much to do. I apply it where ever I want so all around my mouth mainly.

2. Then face base. I use MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW10 (£21.50)as my foundation. It has a really high coverage which I love.

3. I then go under my eyes with Collection Lasting Perfection concealer (£4.19)to get rid of dark circles. I also go over my spots again with this.

4. Next onto eyes! Curling your lashes is MUST! I can't remember where this one is from, but its only a cheap one and works really well. Curling them before mascara really opens them up and widens your eyes. It totally makes a huge difference!

5. Mascara next. I use Max Factor False Lash Effect (£10.99) and I LOVE IT. I hardly ever don't use this mascara as its amazing and defo my holy grail product. I recommend it to everyone. Max Factor are like the gods of mascara.

6. Next onto eyebrows. Doing them stresses me out so much! But I use MAC eyeshadow in Expresso(£12.00).Maybe a little too brown for my brows and I may try 'Charcoal brown' next? Anyone know if thats a good colour for brows? I apply this with a Barry M eyeliner brush (the blue one)

7. I coat my brows with some Eyeko brow gel (£18.00) to set them.

8. I then contour using the Sleek palette in Face Form (£10.00)in Light. I use the contouring powder from this mainly, just underneath my cheek bones, around up to my temples and along my forehead.

9. I use a Pro Longwear blush my MAC in Stay Pretty (£20.00) with a Real techniques Blush brush.

10. Finally, I highlight with the wonder Mac Mineralise Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle (£22.00) on my cheek bones, and down my nose.

11. I set all this with a MAC Mineralise Skin Finish Natural in Light. (£22.00)

Thats basically my everyday wear. If I'm not going anywhere I do not wear any make up but for me I feel better wearing it and I like wearing it! To some of you this might be a lot, but I'm happy with what I wear. And would have much less confidence in myself if I didn't wear this lot. So yeah. If I'm off out for the  night or whatever I add eyeshadow too!

Hope you enjoyed this post :):)

Tiny beauty haul thanks to the bank of DAD

For these past two days I have suffered from chronic stomach cramps which induce me to feel faint, have shivers and lose feeling in my legs. Yes, they really are THAT bad. After having to come home from work early yesterday and feeling not to well again today yet battling into work, he treated me a bit. Bless.

So these are everything I got and admit-tingly its not a lot but new things really cheer you up! I REALLY wanted the limited edition neon pink Barry M and he said make it over £6.00 (what it needed to be free) and even though you can buy it separately I obviously didn't argue :P I've been after some cheap lip liners for a month or so now as I find them rather hard to use and didn't want to fork out loads for say a MAC one. I seen these at £2.99 each and 2P short decided to pick up the pencil sharpener too! I picked up a red and pink as they're the colours I wear most!

I also picked up a Models Own nail varnish in Hedonist £5.00 after eying it up for a week or too and its such a beautiful colour.

(Both new varnishes // red Models Own // pink Barry M)

I was lucky enough to be able to grab some of the make up from Rihanna's full collection from MAC. Alot of things sold out super quick even when I went to look, half an hour into being up! This collection is so popular its actually unreal. I'm not a massive fan of Rihanna but this collection is just perfection <3

I didn't pick up too much, only two items.
RiRi Boy lipstick and the Hibicius Kiss Blush/Bronzer Duo.
The lipstick was the same price as the normal MAC ones which is good (£14 when I ordered) and the Duo was £20.00 which I think is really good!
I love how they have RiRi imprinted onto the actual product. They're both so gorgeous. RiRi Boy is more or less Up The Amp but Matte. I was so excited when they came through the post!

I recommend any thing from this collection when it comes back in stock again and I for one will keep an eye out for Heaux!

My M.A.C lipstick collection

Been wanting to make some kind of post like this for a while and I feel my collection is 'big' enough to finally do one! Yay.

http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk sell their lipsticks at £14.00 in the UK, and I think they're around $15 in the US (Thats what it says on the .com website) People have different opinions on M.A.C stuff, personally, I love it. And a full make up collection will come soon! They are pricey, even I will admit that. But they're worth it if you are into makeup. Truthfully, if you aren't really into make up that much, there is so many dupes in the drugstores just like them and so much cheaper. But I enjoy make up, and I like to spend the money on it.

From left to right: Saint Germain, Ruby Woo, Snob,Up The Amp, Creme Cup, RiRi Boy, Captive.

Yes, I admit my collection doesn't have that much of a colour range but I LOVE all these colours.

Saint Germain - Such a BRIGHT BARBIE PINK. Quite hard to wear I personally think. But its such a pretty colour! It was the first lipstick I ever bought from M.A.C and I think I will always love this colour. Amplified finish.

Ruby Woo - The MOST DRYING LIPSTICK EVER. Personally, I prefer some other red lipsticks I have compared to this only because the actual colour is a bright red, and I like berry reds. Its a matte finish and I mean a VERY MATTE finish.

Snob - One of my all time favourites. Such a lovely pink shade. Its not as bright as SG but not pale either. Its just the perfect pink colour! Nice for every day wear also. Satin finish.

Up The Amp - Actually got this colour from a BACK2MAC I did. Its a wonderful plum purple. Really hard to wear but I adore it so much. Admittedly I haven't wore it out yet sadly. I need to be more brave! Purple lippy's sound scary but this is beautiful.Amplified finish.

Creme Cup - A pinky nude shade whats perfect for any occasion. I like this because on me once I've had it on for a couple of hours it looks like a coral colour and its perfect. Nudes do not suit everyone so try out some testers. You don't want to look washed out. This has more colour in it that say Myth by M.A.C so its a lovely nude to chose! Cremesheen finish.

RiRi Boy - Very similar to Up The Amp but a Matte finish, also limited edition.

Captive - My newest one and already one of my favourites. As I said before I love the more dark red, plum red colours. And this is just perfect! Satin finish.

Sometimes (sometimes) having a job has its positives

Since I did LOADS of overtime at christmas. I thought I would go to Meadowhall and just treat myself. Ive always been pretty tight with money. Only buying stuff I really really liked it. But I am learning to simply buy something if I want it or like it. It wasnt too busy, although I seriously didnt think I would spend over 5 hours there. Deary me...

So, I bought some stuff from loads of shops. Topshop, River Island, LUSH, Primark, MAC, Urban Outfitters, H&M etc. I spent £24.00 in MAC, and I seriously didnt think it would come to that much! I needed some brush cleanser for my make up brushes and some concealer (pro long wear) Then in h&m I bought the 3 tops, and the lovely necklace (I seen this necklace and literally fell in love I simply had to buy it) Nail varnish from Topshop in Zodiac 101 (and also some strawberry flavoured poppets) The jewellery sale in River Island seriously was HEAVEN! Ive always preferred to buy jewellery rather than clothes and its so bad. Have like a million rings and stuff and I end up wearing the same clothes :( But anyway, Ive loved the finger top rings for ages and seen this one for £1 so I couldnt not really. I would have preferred silver though, and I also picked up a necklace with a sun on the end for £1. For £2, you really cant go wrong!

Urban Outfitters, my baby. I lost my thumb ring ages ago, and I found it here again for half price, and the last one! It was fate. And also the other rings I ordered on Christmas Day arrived (little finger ring and another thumb rings) I have an obsession with rings if you haven't gathered. From Lush I bought a big bottle of the Eau Roma Water, because I dont go very often and I love the spray. And also the Twilight bath bomb. Its such a shame they are so expensive :(

Happy New Year! Love, me.
