Recent products I am enjoying using

Im sure we all get it, using the same products day in day out, and then you notice that theres a few gems  what start to pop up more regularly than others. Well here are my items I have been reaching for more over the past couple of weeks!

So of course my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer is in there. I just can't stop using this baby! I know the blogging community adores this concealer, as do I.

Also the other day I picked up the Wake Me Up concealer for under my eyes. The only problem for this I find is that its too dark for me and is the lightest shade. Yes it does make my eyes look bright but it doesn't really give me that highlighted look. I probably wouldn't purchase again.

MAC pro longwear concealer has always been in my make up bag. This is my 3rd bottle, I had been ignoring it for a while whilst discovering the collection one. But I LOVE putting this around my chin where my scarring is BEFORE my foundation as it gives me a perfect skin look.

I used to think this eyeko eyeliner was rubbish but it is actually AMAZING. I just line my upper lash line to give my lashes a fuller look.

The They're Real Mascara has been getting a lot of use recently to give my lashes a full look to compliment my recent use of eyeshadows.

Everyone and their grandmother knows about the Colour Tattoos but as a favour a brown smokey eye I LOVE putting the On and On Bronze colour on before my eyeshadow to make the colours stronger and last longer.

This little eyeshadow palette is from Maybelline and I purchased it in Autumn after getting a sort of Autumn colours bug. Listen, the white colour in this is the best inner corner highlighter ever. Its SO PIGMENTED and my eyes always look so bright and alive. I really cannot recommend it enough.

And lastly this little pot of joy. The Max Factor Creamy Blush, so small but SO good. This gives my cheeks such a beautiful pink healthy glow which looks very natural over powder blushes.

H&M Jersey Dress

I literally never wear dresses, like ever. I have only ever had one in my wardrobe and its been there since 2008. Obviously extremely short now, and rather old and decaying. Blue and flowery too may I just add! Then I popped one on again for Prom in 2012. Understandably a much more dressy one!

But recently I took the plunge and purchased a new dress from H&M. I adore this shop, more or less half my wardrobe is H&M. Its affordable but good quality and I love all their designs and styles.

At a mere £.799 I couldnt really say no! Its perfect for dressing up for parties and meals as the sheer bit is not too low down that its revealing but it adds that extra ooofmt! Its also great for casual wear with winter boots and a scarf and coat. I plan on purchasing it in another colour when I head to H&M next as I just love this dress!

Origins Drink Up Intensive overnight mask and full Origins review

In my opinion, this mask is the best thing since sliced bread. Whilst suffering with extremely dry, and I mean dry. Please check other blog posts about my acne progress to actually see the pain it was! This mask was my saviour. I knew I needed something hydrating, what gave my skin that extra care it needed. For a smaller bottle its £10.00 and is the best tenner I have ever spent. Such a good price for a marvellous product.

Applied after cleansing just like a normal moisturiser and my skin felt instantly replenished. It also smells really nice too which is such a bonus. The vital moisture this puts back into your skin is visible from the first time its used. And just gets better with every time. Not meant to be used everyday (I did when I had terrible dryness though) I now apply it roughly about 3/4 a week.

The consistency is just a slight bit thicker than a normal moisturiser.

I purchased a lot of Origins products after this and they ALL really helped my struggle with spots. All products are natural and made from no grubby chemicals. I managed to splurge on a new normal moisturiser, the Make A Difference Plus + £34.00 which is brilliant for dry skin. You get such a big pot too so the price may seem daunting but for the amount you get and the quality of the product this is unreal.

"This rejuvenating moisturiser fortified with Nature's Rose of Jericho plus a Lychee and Watermelon hydra-sustain complex quenches deep to help add moisture to dry, dehydrated skin.
Instantly help boost skin's moisture to help keep it hydrated and rejuvenated all day."

I also picked up their Super Spot Remover £14.00. Which helps fight off pesty spots before they fully form. Apply a small amount to the end of a cotton ????? (TOTALLY FORGOT WHAT THEY ARE CALLED) And it calms redness and protects the area, preventing bacteria from spreading. Apply this to certain areas AFTER moisturiser.

I hope this helped if you're looking for a new skin care brand. I cant thank Origins enough for their help with their wonderful products. All the staff are super lovely and I was treated to free samples, free consultations and gifs. I haven't been in touch with Origins - these are my own views.

Big skin news.

No one cares probably but I have come off my acne medication due to my own choice. I would rather have spots than my skin when I was on them evil things.

  1. Things started positive. I was really excited. I noticed my skin getting really dry and bumped my moisturiser to a 'very dry'
  2. I started to realise my make up never seemed to 'sit right' My foundation looked dry and clinged to my skin and kept coming off really easily and soaked into every single pore I had! Big no no and was getting me down SO bad.
  3. My spots were getting so much worse and this made it extremely hard. My make up didn't go right which kept me with the little self confidence I had, without this, what could I do? Combined with horrible skin and even more spots I was getting to the end of my tether.
  4. SORE. Sore everything! Sore eyes and lips were a major major problem. All the skin around my mouth had cracked and my lips were swollen and dry and sore. I remember eating a meal once and leaving half because my lips were BURNING.
  5. I felt sick every time I ate and had spurts of feeling like throwing up
All these factors added together equalled a VERY unhappy me. I was out shopping and literally broke down and I decided to take matters into my own hands and to make myself happy to end the bloody things! Guys I know, tablets DO give you side effects but these were super bad. I dealt with them for long enough and I couldn't deal anymore. The doctor said if I had ANY side effects to come off them or tell her.

Since, I have started to use Origins. This brand is my saviour. Its saved my life. I will do a post soon all about this magical brand and my skin hasnt looked this good for me for so so long.

Looking for a BIG make up bag?

This little beauty, or should I say big beauty? Is from Primark. Im pretty much certain this was £3.50 and it legit fits more or less ALL my make up in it. Every brush, every palette and compact. Every round pesty MAC compact. EVERYTHING. I totally recommend it for anyone on the look for a make up bag what fits everything in it. Its great for travelling as it fits in toiletries and brushes too!

Recent new beauty buys!

It happens every week. I waste time before I go to work looking round shops and ending up spending money I really should save!

Ooopsy!

I had my eyes on the new RT miracle complexion sponge for a while now and after seeing it in my local boots for a measly £5.99 I took the plunge and bought it! I am super excited to try it.

I also picked up another Colour Tattoo in the shade 'Permanent Taupe' I already have the shade On and On Bronze and that is shimmery and I LOVE this colour as its more or a matte shade. Perfect for a base. It is rather dark though so only a perfect base under a dark eye.

Now the Loreal Lumi Magique Primer, I stood and debated with myself whether to get this or not. I know £10.00 is not THAT expensive but for me, a drugstore primer should be a little cheaper. But I also took the plunge with this and got it and I love it so far! It adds a dewy look under your base but its better as a highlighter!

Now the foundation was supposed to be for christmas but my mum actually gave it me early! Haha, anyone elses parents do this?:P
I havent tried it yet but IM SUPER EXCITED, I've wanted this for SO long.

MUA palettes, affordable make up

Mua palettes are my new staple. After realising I own like no eyeshadows and wanting to simply experiment I knew MUA eyeshadow would be a great way for me to start. At an affordable £4.00 these palettes are great value.

The top one is a dupe for the Urban Decay naked palette and its called 'Undressed' and the below is called 'Heaven and Earth' Some colours are pretty similar but all different in their own way! For the affordable price, they are super pigmented and I use them everyday to create my neutral eye!

They do many more colours if you're into more bright shades, and its really super quality. I recommend these so much!

My week through photos #2

1. New River Island rings £4.00 (Love some midi rings) 2. The NICEST drink and muffin from Cafe Nero 3. The Little Shop in Castleton 4. Tea and Scones in my hometown 5. MacDonalds 6. Cat in Castleton what was lovely! 6. The BEST ice cream. 7. Mac Riri Boy day. 7. My favourite nail polish of all time.

My favourite lipstick ever: M.A.C Creme Cup

Just how beautiful is this lipstick though? Its my holy grail colour and my favourite throughout my WHOLE lipstick collection. MAC's creme cup is already a VERY popular shade and I know full well why. Its a cremesheen formula and and as the name suggests its super creamy. Which I love! Matte lipsticks are nice and have super staying power but this formula is the one!

The colour is what I would call a coral pink/nude. Some people say its nude but I'd say more coral. I really REALLY recommend this colour for anyone on the look out for an every day lipstick colour.

My only babylips and why I am not getting anymore

I have three Babylips and my my my it's the packaging I love the most!
A lot of people think it looks cheap and child like but I do not agree :P

I went mad on these at first, but after applying the Hydrate one religiously I realised it was making my lips DRY and SORE. Kinda like vaseline does. I don't think these products are actually beneficial for you. I love the tinted ones. Cherry Me and Pink Punch but thats about it. I will not be getting anymore of these simply for this reason.

Does anyone else agree or do you REALLY like these?

Acne medication progress: 1 week on

For the past week and 3 days I have been carrying on my acne medication. So far I have not recognised a difference  and my I didn't expect too this early! But talk about side effects!

  • Dry skin - I have never before had skin this dry, you never think its going to be bad until you have it. My skin feels so tight and I've had to bump up my moisturiser to a 'dry to very dry' skin one.
  • Flaky skin - Not very nice to mention but all around my mouth has very flaky skin now and really makes a difference to how my foundation looks. My mouth area is the worse but when I look close my skin on my cheeks and around my eyes is also suffering in this way.
  • Sore skin and eyes - Probably the worst side effect so far. When I wake up my eyes sting and are sore. When I wash my face my eyes sting. When I do my make up they sting. When I take it off and cleanse my face and apply creams, THEY STING. Its so so painful.
My skin was really red and sore and my spots even got a little worse. On Sunday I woke up and my skin looked SO much better. I felt happy with my skin for the first time in 3 months as these past couples of months my acne has got 100x worse. This better patch is simply what my skin looked like before it got proper bad. Its not even clear, spots and scars were still there but my face wasn't bright red and sore for once. Since then that hasn't lasted and my skin is slowly showing signs of getting worse again.

Everyday brown smokey eye

Recently I have been wearing a brown smokey eye every single day and I am just in love. I've only just gotten into eyeshadow in the past 2 months and I don't have many but this MUA palette satisfies my neutral addiction <3

1. Take a white or very light eyeshadow and apply all over lid.2. Take a light brown colour and apply from the outer corner of your eye into the center 3/4 of the way.
3. Take a darker brown and put a small amount into the crease and blend. You can build this up as much as you want. This adds definition to your eye and pulls together your look.
4. Apply some colour under your eye.

MUJI draws! A great idea for make up storage!

I've been seeing these acrylic draws all over the bloody place for ages now and I've been wanting to get some now for a very long time. Finally, for once, they wasn't out of stock! I speedily ordered some and sat excited for them to arrive!

So here I have two sets of the wide draws which I think are £10.95 each. The reason I got the wide ones is because they can fit in bigger items for example, foundation. So I recommend the wide ones for sure!

I know a lot of people have the 5 draw set which is £24.95 but it only fits like lipsticks and stuff in which isnt really great seeing as though the price is pretty high. But as you can see I can fit in a lot of items into each draw which is a god send.

They look clean and arrange your make up perfectly! I have face products in one draw, then eyes, lips and the top is random more expensive products I use regularly. For anyone looking for good make up storage ideas I recommend MUJI!

Benefit 'They're Real!' review

I've wanted this mascara for SO long now after trying out the small trial size one what came free with a magazine! I instantly fell in love with it but couldn't justify spending SO much on one mascara! So once I noticed they were doing this 2 for 1 package with the free small one whats £9.00 anyway I decided to take the plunge!

This mascara is good. I will give it that, but you have to be so careful with it and I find personally it clumps your lashes SO easily! I find I'm simply applying it normally and suddenly my eyelashes are all stuck together and icky :(
But the length and impact it gives me is unreal, when going back to a different mascara I can totally tell the difference. I say definitely pick up this special package to try out, this mascara is worth a try and up there in my all time favourites.

The brush is a plastic brush with a small round end to get right to them corner lashes! Personally I don't find this useful at all. Yes its expensive and if you're not wanting to try it for the high price then I recommend my holy grail mascara.. Max Factor False Lash Effect £11.00.

Foundations for pale skin (High end and drugstore options)

For some reason, today I got extremely annoyed at make up brands for not making foundation pale enough for people with actual white porcelain skin like mine! Ive searched and searched for a good foundation what doesnt make me look like I have rubbed wosits on my face and stills struggle. But these are the best I'v found.

MAC STUDIO FIX FLUID in NW10. The NW bit is important as I used to think NC15 was the lightest and its NOT! Nw10 is so much paler than NC15. And is for pink cooled toned skin. Which you will have if you're pale. Its a heavy coverage what you might not like but I personally do! Its £21.00. Only problem with the Mac foundation range is that the NW10 only comes in this foundation.

And for a drugstore... RIMMEL MATCH PERFECTION IN LIGHT PORCELAIN
This is lighter than the MAC one. As you can tell. As far as I know this is the lightest drugstore foundation shade. They do a really good range but once again this colour only comes in THIS foundation and its not heavy enough for me! But its build able!

Revlon also do light colours I've heard.

My new acne medication

After fighting with Acne for over a year now I have finally got my hands on some bloody medication for it. I have no idea if it will work or not, but I'm doing this post so if it does, I could kinda look back on it?

So I have two creams, and then some (dissolvable) tablets. Shamefully, I cant take tablets and it is the bane of my life. These dissolve in water, and hey guess what? I HATE WATER. But its drinkable, I will do ANYTHING for clear skin!

So this is my acne today, and its a medium day. Not a terrible skin day but certainly not a good one either. I know my acne is not as bad as other peoples but it really gets me down and makes me hate myself. Hopefully, maybe, these things will work out. I praying they do, I just want them gone. If anyone else has or is suffering with acne you will understand just how down it gets you, sounds horrible but I never feel clean because my skin always feels so lumpy and disgusting.

I have no idea where this post is going but I just thought I would share it with you all!

Bronzed face and eyes summer look

Sure summer is starting to come to an end but there is still time to pull out a gorgeous bronzed look!

Firstly you need your base. I firstly applied a Benefit foundation stick (the purple one) to the areas I want highlight (catch the light) under my foundation, as we're going to be using a bronzer with this look.

Secondly, I used Rimmel Match perfection foundation in the lightest colour because I am so pale! We add colour after.
Then conceal any areas you wish (even highlight) with concealer. I used the small MAC one in NW15.

Next I contoured with Sleek Face Form Palette in Light. This adds the bronzed look to your entire face. Start at your cheek bones and go right around to your temples to slim down the outer parts of your face. Also, putting bronzer on your under chin can minimise a double chin.

Then I added some shimmer using my beloved MAC mineralise skin finish in Soft and Gentle. This completes your bronzed goddess face base!
--------------------------

Next! Eyes - (or you can do this earlier, what ever takes your fancy)

I use this palette from H&M but any brown shadows will do.

Apply a light brown all over your lid.

Next, on your crease and the outer parts of your eye lid simply add a darker brown (but not too dark) and blend it into the previous colour. You should be able to tell a small difference in the colour.

Then, add a small amount of really dark brown (you could even use a black) to your crease and blend that in. This will exaggerate the smokey eye and really add bronzed impact.

Then you can add pigment or a white shadow to under your brow bone to lighten up your look. Applying some brown shadow to the bottom of your eyes will really pull the look together so remember to do that! You can also add some eyeliner to add more impact.

My new case from Casetagram

So a while ago I contacted Casetagram as I just think their cases are flipping amazing. I've never seen anything like them before. And they said they would send me one! I honestly could not believe it and I want to share the amazingness with you all.

I can't explain how much I adore this case! You get to add as many photos as you want and there is so many layouts to chose from I was in heaven! The quality is awesome and all the photos are really clear too 😊 also, it was wrapped up so nicely which looked brilliant too. I am so happy to receive this. I honestly can't thank Casetagram enough! I really think you should all go and check out their page right now, and head to their website. I promise you won't regret it!

My favourite lip products (Including new Baby Lips review) VASELINE IS BAD FOR YOUR LIPS

My top 2 favourite ever lip products are Nivea Lip Butter and the new Baby Lips.

Nivea Lip Butter -
I have the caramel cream flavour and it has the most gorgeous smell ever! Literally does smell like caramel. I could sit for ages with my nose in this and just absorb the niceness.
When you apply it to your lips its super creamy. Its really as white/cream as it looks in the tub.

So it can make your lips look covered in white lip balm. Which YES it is, but you don't want anyone to know! So you have to really rub it in. But I LOVE THIS LIP BALM. My lips feel so so so soft once I have applied this and once I have applied it and rubbed it in, it makes my lips have such a lovely shine. I really can't describe the look because its that nice.

Baby Lips -

After looking for these beauties for like 3 weeks now seeing as though they've been floating around the UK for a while I finally found a Superdrug what stocked them! This one is the hydrating one. I also picked this one because, well its BLUE!
This balm gives the same effect on the lips as Vaseline, a very shiny hydrated look.
VASELINE is bad for your lips! Your lips get dependant on it, and it doesn't help them at all, it makes them worse. And so you keep applying it and applying it and buy more. You see how it works? You should use a lip balm what doesn't dry out lips like Vaseline does.
I have only tried this product once but so far I love it and is a runner up to my lip butter for sure.

Barry M Gelly in Blue Grape review

Okay, I'm going to confess. I own over 15 blue nail varnishes. I mean, blue is just my favourite colour ever. I picked up Blue Grape from the Gelly collection my Barry M a while ago and I've only just realised how bloody gorgeous it is!
Swatch on MY nails ^

This is my new favourite nail varnish. It has such a high gloss finish. I only applied one coat too and it was super bright and pigmented. I am absolutely in love!
I totally recommend this product to people who love bright colours, I know for sure I will wear it all year round never mind just in the summer. Have any of you guys tried this?

Everyday make up routine

Im going to try not to babble here or this will take me ages. I've added numbers to the photos instead of making this post massive with a photo for each product (sorry if its not as easy to follow!)
BEFORE ANYTHING I WASH MY FACE AND MOISTURISE

1. Use MAC Pro Longwear concealer (£15.50) to really mask all my spots. This concealer makes them look more or less invisible I love it! I put this on first so my foundation doesn't have as much to do. I apply it where ever I want so all around my mouth mainly.

2. Then face base. I use MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW10 (£21.50)as my foundation. It has a really high coverage which I love.

3. I then go under my eyes with Collection Lasting Perfection concealer (£4.19)to get rid of dark circles. I also go over my spots again with this.

4. Next onto eyes! Curling your lashes is MUST! I can't remember where this one is from, but its only a cheap one and works really well. Curling them before mascara really opens them up and widens your eyes. It totally makes a huge difference!

5. Mascara next. I use Max Factor False Lash Effect (£10.99) and I LOVE IT. I hardly ever don't use this mascara as its amazing and defo my holy grail product. I recommend it to everyone. Max Factor are like the gods of mascara.

6. Next onto eyebrows. Doing them stresses me out so much! But I use MAC eyeshadow in Expresso(£12.00).Maybe a little too brown for my brows and I may try 'Charcoal brown' next? Anyone know if thats a good colour for brows? I apply this with a Barry M eyeliner brush (the blue one)

7. I coat my brows with some Eyeko brow gel (£18.00) to set them.

8. I then contour using the Sleek palette in Face Form (£10.00)in Light. I use the contouring powder from this mainly, just underneath my cheek bones, around up to my temples and along my forehead.

9. I use a Pro Longwear blush my MAC in Stay Pretty (£20.00) with a Real techniques Blush brush.

10. Finally, I highlight with the wonder Mac Mineralise Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle (£22.00) on my cheek bones, and down my nose.

11. I set all this with a MAC Mineralise Skin Finish Natural in Light. (£22.00)

Thats basically my everyday wear. If I'm not going anywhere I do not wear any make up but for me I feel better wearing it and I like wearing it! To some of you this might be a lot, but I'm happy with what I wear. And would have much less confidence in myself if I didn't wear this lot. So yeah. If I'm off out for the  night or whatever I add eyeshadow too!

Hope you enjoyed this post :):)

Tiny beauty haul thanks to the bank of DAD

For these past two days I have suffered from chronic stomach cramps which induce me to feel faint, have shivers and lose feeling in my legs. Yes, they really are THAT bad. After having to come home from work early yesterday and feeling not to well again today yet battling into work, he treated me a bit. Bless.

So these are everything I got and admit-tingly its not a lot but new things really cheer you up! I REALLY wanted the limited edition neon pink Barry M and he said make it over £6.00 (what it needed to be free) and even though you can buy it separately I obviously didn't argue :P I've been after some cheap lip liners for a month or so now as I find them rather hard to use and didn't want to fork out loads for say a MAC one. I seen these at £2.99 each and 2P short decided to pick up the pencil sharpener too! I picked up a red and pink as they're the colours I wear most!

I also picked up a Models Own nail varnish in Hedonist £5.00 after eying it up for a week or too and its such a beautiful colour.

(Both new varnishes // red Models Own // pink Barry M)

Today I checked the mail to see a beautiful little delivery for me from Groundedhearts. She's a lovely girl and contacted me through Instagram about sending me some pieces. She let me chose and I HAD to pick the elephant bracelet as its stunning!

I will be wearing this ALOT as its such a cute little bracelet.

M.A.C Mineralise Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle

After hearing this being raved about on Youtube, blogs and Instagram I thought I would try this wonderful product. I've had it for a while now (3/4 months or so) and yes, it definitely is AMAZING. The price is £22.00, yes quite alot if you're not used to splurging on high end, expensive make up.But to me, this is a reasonable price for a wonder highlighter/bronzer what will probably last me at last 3 years! So far I've not seen it go down even a small bit and I use it more or less every day give or take a few days.

Mac offer a range or 'colours' in the skin-finishes and Soft and Gentle is the most popular one and I can totally see why! I'm really pale (NW10 in mac and Porcelain in everything else) And this still really suits my skin tone. But it would also look gorgeous with a tan.

It can be used anywhere on the body but I add some to the heights of my cheek bones and my nose to give a thinning effect. Its such a perfect highlighter and works really really well too. Its SO pigmented which I love.

Its colour is a beautiful peachy bronze.

This is a MUST HAVE ITEM in my books and I recommend it to no end!
