Recent products I am enjoying using

Im sure we all get it, using the same products day in day out, and then you notice that theres a few gems  what start to pop up more regularly than others. Well here are my items I have been reaching for more over the past couple of weeks!

So of course my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer is in there. I just can't stop using this baby! I know the blogging community adores this concealer, as do I.

Also the other day I picked up the Wake Me Up concealer for under my eyes. The only problem for this I find is that its too dark for me and is the lightest shade. Yes it does make my eyes look bright but it doesn't really give me that highlighted look. I probably wouldn't purchase again.

MAC pro longwear concealer has always been in my make up bag. This is my 3rd bottle, I had been ignoring it for a while whilst discovering the collection one. But I LOVE putting this around my chin where my scarring is BEFORE my foundation as it gives me a perfect skin look.

I used to think this eyeko eyeliner was rubbish but it is actually AMAZING. I just line my upper lash line to give my lashes a fuller look.

The They're Real Mascara has been getting a lot of use recently to give my lashes a full look to compliment my recent use of eyeshadows.

Everyone and their grandmother knows about the Colour Tattoos but as a favour a brown smokey eye I LOVE putting the On and On Bronze colour on before my eyeshadow to make the colours stronger and last longer.

This little eyeshadow palette is from Maybelline and I purchased it in Autumn after getting a sort of Autumn colours bug. Listen, the white colour in this is the best inner corner highlighter ever. Its SO PIGMENTED and my eyes always look so bright and alive. I really cannot recommend it enough.

And lastly this little pot of joy. The Max Factor Creamy Blush, so small but SO good. This gives my cheeks such a beautiful pink healthy glow which looks very natural over powder blushes.

Looking for a BIG make up bag?

This little beauty, or should I say big beauty? Is from Primark. Im pretty much certain this was £3.50 and it legit fits more or less ALL my make up in it. Every brush, every palette and compact. Every round pesty MAC compact. EVERYTHING. I totally recommend it for anyone on the look for a make up bag what fits everything in it. Its great for travelling as it fits in toiletries and brushes too!

My favourite lipstick ever: M.A.C Creme Cup

Just how beautiful is this lipstick though? Its my holy grail colour and my favourite throughout my WHOLE lipstick collection. MAC's creme cup is already a VERY popular shade and I know full well why. Its a cremesheen formula and and as the name suggests its super creamy. Which I love! Matte lipsticks are nice and have super staying power but this formula is the one!

The colour is what I would call a coral pink/nude. Some people say its nude but I'd say more coral. I really REALLY recommend this colour for anyone on the look out for an every day lipstick colour.

My only babylips and why I am not getting anymore

I have three Babylips and my my my it's the packaging I love the most!
A lot of people think it looks cheap and child like but I do not agree :P

I went mad on these at first, but after applying the Hydrate one religiously I realised it was making my lips DRY and SORE. Kinda like vaseline does. I don't think these products are actually beneficial for you. I love the tinted ones. Cherry Me and Pink Punch but thats about it. I will not be getting anymore of these simply for this reason.

Does anyone else agree or do you REALLY like these?

MUJI draws! A great idea for make up storage!

I've been seeing these acrylic draws all over the bloody place for ages now and I've been wanting to get some now for a very long time. Finally, for once, they wasn't out of stock! I speedily ordered some and sat excited for them to arrive!

So here I have two sets of the wide draws which I think are £10.95 each. The reason I got the wide ones is because they can fit in bigger items for example, foundation. So I recommend the wide ones for sure!

I know a lot of people have the 5 draw set which is £24.95 but it only fits like lipsticks and stuff in which isnt really great seeing as though the price is pretty high. But as you can see I can fit in a lot of items into each draw which is a god send.

They look clean and arrange your make up perfectly! I have face products in one draw, then eyes, lips and the top is random more expensive products I use regularly. For anyone looking for good make up storage ideas I recommend MUJI!

Benefit 'They're Real!' review

I've wanted this mascara for SO long now after trying out the small trial size one what came free with a magazine! I instantly fell in love with it but couldn't justify spending SO much on one mascara! So once I noticed they were doing this 2 for 1 package with the free small one whats £9.00 anyway I decided to take the plunge!

This mascara is good. I will give it that, but you have to be so careful with it and I find personally it clumps your lashes SO easily! I find I'm simply applying it normally and suddenly my eyelashes are all stuck together and icky :(
But the length and impact it gives me is unreal, when going back to a different mascara I can totally tell the difference. I say definitely pick up this special package to try out, this mascara is worth a try and up there in my all time favourites.

The brush is a plastic brush with a small round end to get right to them corner lashes! Personally I don't find this useful at all. Yes its expensive and if you're not wanting to try it for the high price then I recommend my holy grail mascara.. Max Factor False Lash Effect £11.00.

Foundations for pale skin (High end and drugstore options)

For some reason, today I got extremely annoyed at make up brands for not making foundation pale enough for people with actual white porcelain skin like mine! Ive searched and searched for a good foundation what doesnt make me look like I have rubbed wosits on my face and stills struggle. But these are the best I'v found.

MAC STUDIO FIX FLUID in NW10. The NW bit is important as I used to think NC15 was the lightest and its NOT! Nw10 is so much paler than NC15. And is for pink cooled toned skin. Which you will have if you're pale. Its a heavy coverage what you might not like but I personally do! Its £21.00. Only problem with the Mac foundation range is that the NW10 only comes in this foundation.

And for a drugstore... RIMMEL MATCH PERFECTION IN LIGHT PORCELAIN
This is lighter than the MAC one. As you can tell. As far as I know this is the lightest drugstore foundation shade. They do a really good range but once again this colour only comes in THIS foundation and its not heavy enough for me! But its build able!

Revlon also do light colours I've heard.

Bronzed face and eyes summer look

Sure summer is starting to come to an end but there is still time to pull out a gorgeous bronzed look!

Firstly you need your base. I firstly applied a Benefit foundation stick (the purple one) to the areas I want highlight (catch the light) under my foundation, as we're going to be using a bronzer with this look.

Secondly, I used Rimmel Match perfection foundation in the lightest colour because I am so pale! We add colour after.
Then conceal any areas you wish (even highlight) with concealer. I used the small MAC one in NW15.

Next I contoured with Sleek Face Form Palette in Light. This adds the bronzed look to your entire face. Start at your cheek bones and go right around to your temples to slim down the outer parts of your face. Also, putting bronzer on your under chin can minimise a double chin.

Then I added some shimmer using my beloved MAC mineralise skin finish in Soft and Gentle. This completes your bronzed goddess face base!
--------------------------

Next! Eyes - (or you can do this earlier, what ever takes your fancy)

I use this palette from H&M but any brown shadows will do.

Apply a light brown all over your lid.

Next, on your crease and the outer parts of your eye lid simply add a darker brown (but not too dark) and blend it into the previous colour. You should be able to tell a small difference in the colour.

Then, add a small amount of really dark brown (you could even use a black) to your crease and blend that in. This will exaggerate the smokey eye and really add bronzed impact.

Then you can add pigment or a white shadow to under your brow bone to lighten up your look. Applying some brown shadow to the bottom of your eyes will really pull the look together so remember to do that! You can also add some eyeliner to add more impact.

My favourite lip products (Including new Baby Lips review) VASELINE IS BAD FOR YOUR LIPS

My top 2 favourite ever lip products are Nivea Lip Butter and the new Baby Lips.

Nivea Lip Butter -
I have the caramel cream flavour and it has the most gorgeous smell ever! Literally does smell like caramel. I could sit for ages with my nose in this and just absorb the niceness.
When you apply it to your lips its super creamy. Its really as white/cream as it looks in the tub.

So it can make your lips look covered in white lip balm. Which YES it is, but you don't want anyone to know! So you have to really rub it in. But I LOVE THIS LIP BALM. My lips feel so so so soft once I have applied this and once I have applied it and rubbed it in, it makes my lips have such a lovely shine. I really can't describe the look because its that nice.

Baby Lips -

After looking for these beauties for like 3 weeks now seeing as though they've been floating around the UK for a while I finally found a Superdrug what stocked them! This one is the hydrating one. I also picked this one because, well its BLUE!
This balm gives the same effect on the lips as Vaseline, a very shiny hydrated look.
VASELINE is bad for your lips! Your lips get dependant on it, and it doesn't help them at all, it makes them worse. And so you keep applying it and applying it and buy more. You see how it works? You should use a lip balm what doesn't dry out lips like Vaseline does.
I have only tried this product once but so far I love it and is a runner up to my lip butter for sure.

Everyday make up routine

Im going to try not to babble here or this will take me ages. I've added numbers to the photos instead of making this post massive with a photo for each product (sorry if its not as easy to follow!)
BEFORE ANYTHING I WASH MY FACE AND MOISTURISE

1. Use MAC Pro Longwear concealer (£15.50) to really mask all my spots. This concealer makes them look more or less invisible I love it! I put this on first so my foundation doesn't have as much to do. I apply it where ever I want so all around my mouth mainly.

2. Then face base. I use MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW10 (£21.50)as my foundation. It has a really high coverage which I love.

3. I then go under my eyes with Collection Lasting Perfection concealer (£4.19)to get rid of dark circles. I also go over my spots again with this.

4. Next onto eyes! Curling your lashes is MUST! I can't remember where this one is from, but its only a cheap one and works really well. Curling them before mascara really opens them up and widens your eyes. It totally makes a huge difference!

5. Mascara next. I use Max Factor False Lash Effect (£10.99) and I LOVE IT. I hardly ever don't use this mascara as its amazing and defo my holy grail product. I recommend it to everyone. Max Factor are like the gods of mascara.

6. Next onto eyebrows. Doing them stresses me out so much! But I use MAC eyeshadow in Expresso(£12.00).Maybe a little too brown for my brows and I may try 'Charcoal brown' next? Anyone know if thats a good colour for brows? I apply this with a Barry M eyeliner brush (the blue one)

7. I coat my brows with some Eyeko brow gel (£18.00) to set them.

8. I then contour using the Sleek palette in Face Form (£10.00)in Light. I use the contouring powder from this mainly, just underneath my cheek bones, around up to my temples and along my forehead.

9. I use a Pro Longwear blush my MAC in Stay Pretty (£20.00) with a Real techniques Blush brush.

10. Finally, I highlight with the wonder Mac Mineralise Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle (£22.00) on my cheek bones, and down my nose.

11. I set all this with a MAC Mineralise Skin Finish Natural in Light. (£22.00)

Thats basically my everyday wear. If I'm not going anywhere I do not wear any make up but for me I feel better wearing it and I like wearing it! To some of you this might be a lot, but I'm happy with what I wear. And would have much less confidence in myself if I didn't wear this lot. So yeah. If I'm off out for the  night or whatever I add eyeshadow too!

Hope you enjoyed this post :):)

Tips for a cosier/cute room!

Im sure everyone has gone through ALOT of room changes, myself included. Ive had bright pink, light pink, light green, all kinds of brown, cream and white of course. I LOVE white walls for rooms as they are a perfect base for personal decoration.

As seen here -

Personal decoration doesn't take much. I've had photos up on my wall for 3 or 4 years now and have never considered taking them down! Its a lovely personal touch. I have printed these out from one of the self service printers you can find in Max Spielmann and some supermarkets. Size 6x4 and simply stuck onto my wall with white tac. The only problem is they always come un stuck and I am forever pushing them back on! Oh well eh

Feature walls make your room look cosier but not too much smaller. Either wallpaper or a different colour make a feature wall. Have a look around your room, see which wall needs a little something. You'll easily figure it out! I admit my wallpaper is a little wacky (I dont know what I was thinking :P)

Your bed is an important step to a fully cosier room! There are a range of things you can customise to hang over your bed. Myself have chose 2 sheets of voile to hang over mine. I got them from Ikea and are hung from my wall end to where my bed ends. At both sides there is a rod secured to my ceiling and I've simply but the material onto the rod. Really simple!

Fairy lights are an essential! Battery operated ones work wonders and I swear by them!

And of course, beautiful cosy pillows and covers. Get as many as you want and wack them onto your bed! You can never have too many fluffy pillows and blankets!

Then add extra things to your room - photo frames, plants, perfume bottles, candles, bunting, rugs etc. Whilst shopping find  the smaller shops and rummage around in there. Sometimes you come across some beautiful shops what specialise in home decor. Usually quite small inside and rather cramped? You know you're in the right place!

Good luck xxxxxx
